Use
To recieve a benefit when unemployed, you may also use this for receiving education and training and may show this when you start a new job.
A way of acquisition
If you have Employment Insurance, you will receive a certificate when you leave a job.
If you lose it, you can get it reissued at Hello Work. Bring photo ID and a second piece of ID (e.g. Health Insurance Card and a copy of Resident's Card), your seal, the name, address and phone number of your employer you are leaving.
Fee
The certificate itself is free of charge, but insurance premiums will apply while you are enrolled, both you and your employer will pay towards your insurance
