General Public Insurance for health care is applied for hospital visits and dentist visits and ambulances are free of charge.
Japan’s banks are not flexible, but it is useful to have a bankbook and bank card when handling money.

Hospital
Staff will do thier best to communicate with you, however it may not be in your own language (“Medical Institution Consultation“). -
To call an ambulance / police
Store phone numbers for your area ahead of time so you can contact them in an emergency (“Emergency“). -
Skiing injuries
Call ski patrol for the mountain you are skiing on first if you require assistancce- If you can’t contact yourself, ask a friend, instructor or patrol to call an ambulance! The ambulance is free of charge
- Carry a wallet, mobile phone, and “Health Insurance Card” / “National Health Insurance Card” Tell the hospital that you have public insurance even you don’t have an insurance card with you the time.
