A temporary card showing that an individual number (My Number) has been created for you. This number is a national identifier for taxation.
Use
You will use this card for various administrative procedures including sending money overseas at a bank.
You will need to show this card when you start a job. It can also be used as a form of identification and as a health insurance card.
A way of acquisition
It will be mailed to your address within 2 to 3 weeks after you register your address in the municipality office.
Notes
If you visit Japan multiple times you will have the same My Number.
