If you buy a car you need to show this as part of the acquisition procedure, which is required by law.
A way of acquisition
At the police station that has jurisdiction over the parking space location.
- You will need an application form, identity verification (i.e. residence card),
- address verification (e.g. water/electricity/kerosene bill),
- a map showing the location and layout of the parking space, a self certification (if it is on your own land) or a parking space entitlement showing the owner's signature and seal (if it is on someone else's land or the management company if an apartment)

Notes
Failing to complete the aquisition process when buying a car is a breach of the law. Depending on the area this process may not be required for Kei-cars (light cars).
