- Cultural activities (e.g. unpaid internships, tea ceremony/flower arrangement researchers, etc.)
- Study in Japan (e.g. International students attending Japanese universities/junior colleges, high schools, junior high schools, elementary schools, etc., Japanese language school students, etc.)
- Training (e.g.trainees from companies, local governments, etc., training that does not involve practical/ paid work)
- Family stay (e.g. spouses and children who are dependent on long-term stay foreigners)
About studying in Japan and having a part-time job
You can work under the following conditions if you have permission to engage in activity other than that permitted under the status of residence previously granted.
If the work is:
- Less than 28 hours a week
- Within 8 hours a day on school holidays You may be allowed to work and study at the same time.
